We’re Outside Ideas (Oi), a small but mighty team with BIG dreams. We help small business owners grow through Mastermind Groups (Mastermind9) and Business Coaching (Outside Ideas). Now we’re looking for someone with grit, guts, and the gift of the gab to kick off their sales career with us.

🤝 About The Role
This is a 12-month apprenticeship programme designed to turn raw talent into a high-performing Sales Development Representative. You’ll get hands-on training, 1:1 coaching and plenty of opportunities to grow your skills.
You’ll be:
- Calling business owners (cold and warm) to invite them to free sessions with our founder
- Following up on leads from our marketing team
- Learning how to build rapport and book appointments that turn into happy clients
This isn’t about aggressive selling. It’s about creating meaningful conversations that lead to long-term relationships.
👉 What You’ll Be Doing

- Making outbound calls daily (150+ dials expected once up to speed)
- Booking 20-minute calls between prospects and our founder
- Following up on leads generated from events, content and ads
- Logging every call and lead in our CRM
- Supporting virtual events, sometimes outside 9–5 (you’ll flex your time)
- Working with the Marketing Manager to align messaging and outreach

🎓 Skills You’ll Need:
- A first-rate ability to motivate yourself and set your own goals
- Tenacity and drive to seek new business and exceed targets
- An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing
communication with customers and prospects and colleagues.- Excellent Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
- Good written and verbal communication skills – needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills
- IT skills, including the use of spreadsheets and word processing
- Team-working skills and a collaborative approach to work
- The ability to multitask and prioritise your workload
- Good organisational skills
- A desire to understand business

💰 Your Starting Deal:
- ZAR 7,000 per month, increasing by ZAR 5,000 every 3 months (up to ZAR 21,500 after 12 months if you hit KPIs)
- Contractor status – you invoice us monthly and manage your own tax
- Paid via Remitly
- Work from home, flexible hours (we trust you to get the job done)

- Number of calls made
- Number of conversations had
- Number of pitches given
- Number of qualified meetings booked
- Event invites sent
- CRM accuracy and consistency
- Responsiveness and communication
