Experienced Chief Executive with a demonstrated history of working in the environmental conservation, data services and planning sector including four years as the Chief Executive of Wild Oxfordshire, almost nine years as the Director of the Thames Valley Environmental Records Centre, and four years as the Ecologist Planner for Oxfordshire County Council. Strong professional skills in Ecology, Business Management and Stakeholder Engagement. Organised and efficient, with over thirteen years’ experience of confidently dealing with the conflicting deadlines and demands from all the aspects of running a charity and not-for-profit sustainable business across two counties and line-management of a team of specialist scientific staff. Four years as the ecologist planner for a Local Authority where significant experience was gained in ecology and planning and provided an insight into the political and resource pressures under which government and charitable organisations work. All roles involved negotiating solutions to resolve challenging problems involving stakeholders with a wide range of priorities.

Active member of the nature conservation community in Oxfordshire, vice-Chair of the Oxfordshire Local Nature Partnership, Chair of the Engagement & Communications working group for the Local Nature Recovery Strategy, and vice-chair of the Oxfordshire Environment Board.

Since 2020 our Strategic Vision and objectives have been reimagined in collaboration with staff and trustee colleagues, and an ambitious but achievable plan for growth and consolidation put in place, and successfully implemented. Since 2020, the staff team has grown from four people (1.2 FTE) to eleven people (7.1 FTE) with income increasing from £212k in 2019/20 to £743k in 2023/24.
