Wednesday’s Networking-in was a super treat, and perhaps one of our best fireside chats ever!
Michael Lennington, author of The 12 Week Year, generously offered us an hour of his time to unpack the concept behind his book.
We touched on nearly every topic – travel, friendship, family, career, business – and how The 12 Week Year can help you to achieve your goals in each of these areas.
The 12 Week-Year is a unique way of looking at time. Instead of a typical year being 12 months, we change it to 12 weeks. This can easily help us hit our annual goals in just 12 weeks.
The concept behind the book isn’t about working four times harder, but rather creating a sense of urgency within 12 weeks to hit our targets.
The book also encourages you to reflect on what truly matters in your life. It gives you a sense of clarity. It’s not about prioritising work over family or vice versa, it’s about creating a balance and ensuring you tick all the boxes.
Why 12 weeks? Essentially 12 weeks is a quarter of a year. But Michael says that calling it a quarter links it to a year, which they wanted to draw people away from. Each 12 week period stands on its own and acts as a year.
We have super insightful networking sessions coming up! Check out our events page to see the next Fireside Chat with Richard Weylman, author of ‘100 proven ways to acquire and keep clients for life.’
