Are you ready to help a small business make a BIG impact online?
Do you love social media? Are you both creative and data-driven? The type who geeks out over engagement rates, ad results, and A/B tests?
If so, we think you’ll love this.
We’re looking for someone who gets excited by numbers and uses creative digital ads to generate a clear return on investment. You’ll plan, run, and optimise campaigns across Meta, Google, YouTube, and TikTok to drive leads and clients, owning budgets, targeting, funnels, and daily/weekly reporting on the Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
If you get a kick out of testing, tweaking, and optimising, then that person might just be you.
🌟 About Us
“A small business is an amazing way to serve and leave an impact on the world you live in.” – Nicole Snow
We’re Outside ideas, a close-knit, international team of 8, united by our mission: to help people and businesses grow through Mastermind Groups & Business Coaching. We’re a small business with a big heart and even bigger dreams.
Our vibe is ambitious but human. We’re serious about performance, but we also genuinely give a sh*t about our team. We believe work should work for life, not the other way around.
🤝 About The Role
We are a small, rapidly growing business, meaning that our time is squeezed, and we need someone who can take ownership of their role and KPIs without too much supervision.
This is a hands-on, creative, and analytical role where you’ll manage our social channels, run paid ads, and ensure our message reaches the right people at the right time.
You’ll report to our Marketing Manager, supporting the strategy but taking full ownership of the day-to-day, posting, testing, tweaking, communicating and improving everything you touch.
Important Note: We are currently working with a small monthly ad budget, so we need someone who can make every pound count, test fast, learn fast, and squeeze maximum value from every campaign.
You will start by focusing on Meta (Facebook & Instagram) as our primary learning and optimisation platform. Once we are seeing consistent performance, we will scale into TikTok, Google Search, and YouTube campaigns, which you will also run.
👉 What You’ll Be Doing
- Own paid campaigns end-to-end: budgets, targeting, creatives, funnels, tracking, and daily optimisation
- Test, tweak, and optimise (A/B on copy, creative, audiences, placements).
- Report weekly on CTR, CPC, CPA, CPL, and ROAS with clear next actions.
- Advise where, when, and how much to spend across platforms.
- Maintain WordPress landing pages, pixels, events, and conversions.
- Manage our social pages (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok): plan the content calendar, post/ schedule, repurpose winning ad assets, uphold tone of voice, and handle light community management (comments/DMs).
- Create, edit, and optimise ad creatives using CapCut (or similar) and Canva/Figma; add clear hooks, readable subtitles, and strong thumbnail frames.
- Cut talking-head clips into 20–35s edits; produce quote cards, before/after graphics, carousels, and simple motion graphics for tests.
- Research competitor/inspiration ads in the Meta Ad Library and use them to optimise our ads.
- Support the Marketing Manager on strategy; own the day-to-day delivery.
🌟 We’re looking for someone:
- With 2–4 years of running multi-platform ads with proof of leads/clients and Return On Ad Spend (ROAS).
- Hands-on with Meta Ads, Google Ads (incl. YouTube), TikTok Ads Manager.
- Who has built and optimised funnels, set up pixels, events, and UTM tracking.
- Who has managed brand social pages and calendars, and repurposed content from campaigns.
- Strong picture and video editing skills (CapCut, VN, Adobe Rush, or similar)
- Ability to produce multiple creative variations quickly (not perfection-focused).
- Comfortable editing rough clips, adding subtitles, and testing hook variations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong written English.
📊 How We Measure Success
“If you can’t measure it, You can’t improve it” Peter Drucker
Your performance will be based on:
- Qualified leads generated and CPL (Primarily)
- Growth in followers, reach, and engagement rate
- Increased conversions and website traffic from social campaigns
- Strong ROAS on paid ads
- Consistent delivery of content and reports
- Quality and insight of A/B testing and performance analysis
🎯 Our Target Audience
Our audience is made up of ambitious small business owners who are looking for structure, clarity, and accountability to grow their business and enjoy the journey.
They are typically:
- Business owners or founders from start-up to £3 million revenue
- Based in the UK (and occasionally further afield).
- Already generating revenue but want to grow sustainably.
- Like helping other business owners, are community-oriented and value personal and professional development.
- Interested in Mastermind Groups and Business Coaching
🧐 What We Mean by a “Qualified Lead”
A qualified lead is someone who:
- Owns or runs a business
- Fits our ideal business owner profile, typically turning over £10k – £3m
- Has expressed genuine interest in our offer, e.g. by signing up for a free session, attending an event, downloading a lead magnet, or booking a call.
- Has the ability and intent to invest in coaching, masterminds, or structured business support.
- Engages meaningfully, replies to follow-up messages, fills in forms properly, or asks relevant questions.
🤔 Why This Matters for the Role
You will need to:
- Understand this audience deeply, their goals, frustrations, and the transformation they’re looking for.
- Use this clarity to refine targeting, creative tone, and calls-to-action across all campaigns.
- Report weekly on qualified lead volume and cost per qualified lead (CPQL), not just clicks or impressions.
