Celebrating wins, talking about leadership, and even having conversations about style. That’s what Wednesday’s Networking-in was all about!
Our special guest, Ruth Farenga, really brought some wisdom on leadership to the table.
What does it take to be a good leader? Ruth got us thinking about that.
Think about someone who supported you and you achieved more than you originally thought you were capable of. What traits did they have? Wednesday’s Networking-in was all sorts of thought-provoking, insightful, and challenging (in a good way).
Positive traits need to be cultivated internally before they can manifest externally.
She also dished out some seriously cool nuggets of wisdom about the nine must-have leadership traits for today’s world: Intention, Directness, Belonging, Self-management, Autonomy, Vulnerability, Listening, Safety, and Purpose.
Research shows that modern leadership has moved from being controlling to being relational – Challenging assumptions and promoting diversity of thought. Leaders need to look after themselves in order to be relational.
Ruth finished off by telling us that we can all be the person who supports people and see them achieve more than they thought they were capable of. It was simply profound!
What a great session! Big thanks to everyone who showed up and brought with beautiful energy! We’ve got lost of great speakers coming up this year! Check them out and reserve your spot here.
