Hi, I’m Nicki Kinton, founder of Confident Cashflow, and I’ve been running the business since 2017. Based in Swindon, Wiltshire, I help clients across the UK tackle cash flow challenges.
I’m a credit management professional with extensive experience in multi-million and billion-pound businesses, where managing credit terms within a solid framework is crucial. My decision to start Confident Cashflow was driven by my belief that small businesses deserve the same level of control over their credit terms that larger businesses have.
I’ve loved numbers ever since working with my father in his accountancy practice during school and university. I went on to be one of the first to earn a First-Class BA Hons degree in credit management and am qualified with the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM).
Outside of work, I’m a pawrent to Bella, a lively Labrador/Malinois. I also play the French Horn in several orchestras, have a love for gin, and enjoy cheering on the Tigers and England Rugby.
At Confident Cashflow, I help business owners improve their cash flow by addressing the root causes of late payments and creating a plan to manage them when they occur. The truth is, 99.2% of UK businesses are small, and by helping them thrive, I’m supporting local economies, communities, and families.
Business owners often come to me when their businesses are growing and profitable, but their bank balance doesn’t reflect that. Late payments from customers cause a knock-on effect, forcing them to pay suppliers late, damaging their credit score and reputation. Together, we develop a framework to manage cash flow and credit terms that encourage growth while protecting profits.
For smaller businesses, I offer Cash Flow Focus Sessions to tackle specific issues or provide general advice. And for those uncomfortable with chasing late payments, I take on the credit control for them. Start-ups also benefit from getting their terms and conditions right from the start and learning how to manage credit effectively.
