Mastermind Groups? What's all the fuss?

The term Mastermind Groups or Alliance was coined by Napoleon Hill in 1937 in his book Think and Grow Rich. The book was based on Hill’s work of 20 years in studying the most successful people of the time. Of the 13 essentials of success that Hill identified, participation in Mastermind Groups was a MUST. In his words:

“Economic advantages may be created by any person who surrounds himself or herself with the advice, counsel, and personal cooperation of a group of people who are willing to lend wholehearted aid, in a spirit of PERFECT HARMONY. This form of cooperative alliance has been the basis of nearly every great fortune”.

What’s the format of the M9 sessions?

Mastermind9 members will meet once a month for half a day to get together in solidarity and support for each other and their businesses. Our Mastermind Groups are a beautiful concoction of peer group learning, support and accountability where everyone will get the opportunity to spend time in the “hot seat” with focussed time for their issues, challenges or questions related to their business. Think of Mastermind Groups as your virtual board of directors, your support network, a band of brothers (and sisters). Strength in numbers.

What will we do on the taster sessions?

We’re going to give everyone a full on experience of the way we’ll run Mastermind9. There will be a quick round robin of who’s who and everyone will get an opportunity to spend time in the hot seat. We’ll leave with some accountability actions.

What do you mean by non competing business?

Our Mastermind Groups will share their experiences (warts and all). We’ll discuss the highs and lows with the room. We wouldn’t want to spill our trade secrets to another coaching firm and expect that you feel the same. For that reason, our groups will be formed of non competing business owners. We won’t allow 2 Accountants or Solicitors to sit in the same group.

Would I be suitable?

If you’re an open minded business owner with a growth mindset who’s determined and destined to grow, you’d fit right in.

Is there a minimum turnover?

Nope, not for our first few Mastermind Groups. We all have experiences in life and businesses that are valuable and believe that as long as you commit to the group and the rules of the game, you’ll be a welcome addition. At some point in the future, if demand dictates, we’ll launch groups that are more size / turnover specific.

Is there a maximum turnover?

Nope, Not at this stage.

Do I need to have a business?

Yep, you need to have been up and running for at least 12 months.

How often do we meet?

Once a month (on the same day – at the same time) for 3.5 hours.

Why 9 people?

Everyone needs to get the opportunity to talk, be heard and provide input, so

we need a group that’s big enough to have diverse skill sets without it being too large where people’s ideas and input might be lost. 9 people plus a chair person feels about right to us.

Where will we meet?

For the time being, we’ll be meeting on Zoom. We may well arrange excursions etc in time.

How much will it cost?

We’ll be announcing pricing at the tasters but needless to say, we offer exceptional value for money compared to other Masterminds that we’ve looked at. All prices include Alliance membership, & Networking in… attendance.
