Life is most definitely for living. But so many of us don’t!
This was me. Some or all of it could be you:
Our life is going on according to plan: often the societal plan that we feel pulled to conform to.
Over time it gets routine, mundane. We settle. We put ourselves last.
We don’t nurture ourselves: our minds, bodies and souls.
We don’t give ourselves our best chance of happiness.
We forget our value and our contribution to our lives and the lives of others.
And then we start to feel crap about ourselves.
We start to focus on the negatives, and often double down into work or the kids (or both) so that we don’t have to see how little we are living.
We stay in our comfort zone box – safe in the knowledge that its not that bad, whilst beating ourselves up for how much we are failing, how unhealthy we are, how our clothes don’t fit, how drained and unmotivated we are and how alone we feel, even when surrounded by others.
Then we go searching for the answers. The latest diet, exercise, clothing, lifestyle fad that only costs ££££ but will fix us in 6 weeks seem so appealing.
But are these solutions the best for us?
Often we don’t find out they are not our solution until we have parted from the cash and discovered they don’t work in our lives.
I did this. For years. It nearly broke me.
But it doesn’t have to break you.
