I’m running the London Marathon in 2023 for the first time.
I mean, It’s my first marathon, not my first time in London.
I did a half marathon once. My feet bled. It wasn’t nice!
I’m under no illusions, It’s going to be TOUGH. I’m looking forward to the atmosphere and spotting my family in the crowd, but I’m sure the pain is going to be off the charts.
I just hope I don’t do a Paula!
The London Marathon has been on my bucket list since I was a boy, and after Paris 20 was cancelled, and I broke my hand in 22, I’ve got unfinished business.
I really want my boy Max to watch me push through the pain and get the best treasure EVER for him.
I’m lucky, I’m not training alone. I have my man Gra along for the ride. He’s going through this with me, without even doing the marathon. Nutter!
Anyhooo…I’m a supporter of Action for Children.
It’s a tragedy that in 2023, there are many Thousands of kids in the UK living in extreme poverty.
These children are growing up without the basic things that every child deserves – like a proper bed, warm clothes and healthy meals.
It can have a lifelong impact.
I hope you’re inspired to give generously, and we’d love as many of you as possible to come along and join in on the day. As the event gets closer we’ll be sharing some more info on where/when we’ll meet.
Onwards and upwards my friend
