The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities to drive the company’s growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and business development, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.

You’ll be paid as a contractor on a self-employed basis. You’ll invoice us for your time, and we’ll pay the full amount, no tax taken. You’ll be responsible for your own tax and insurance, and we expect you to pay your tax fairly per your country’s tax and insurance laws. We’ll pay using Remitly at the end of the month.

There’s no hard sell in our business. We build relationships that make people want to join us. It takes time, energy, and commitment, but we passionately believe it’s the right way.
The role of the Business Development Manager is to strengthen the relationships with the people we call friends and build relationships with people we don’t yet know. At its root, the Business Development Manager will play a key part in keeping clients with us for longer and attracting people to us who ultimately end up as paying clients.
Your time will be spent working from home (or somewhere quiet). You’ll split your time between networking (online), and making calls via a VoIP phone to people that our marketing efforts have warmed up.
Essentially you’ll be required to split your time between 5 core activities:
1. Online Networking (minimum 3 per week)
2. Phone (Clients 50% & Cold Outreach 50% approx.)
3. Admin and upkeep of meticulous records in the CRM.
4. Linkedin prospecting (Maximum 1 hour per day)
5. 121 Meetings
You will be expected to make a minimum of 40 dials per day. You’ll work closely with our Marketing Manager and collectively build a joined-up strategy that sets appointments for the business owner or books people directly into “Taster Sessions” for our Mastermind Groups.
👉 Some of the stuff you’ll be responsible for

– Increasing our client base by converting warmed-up leads from the marketing department.
– Prospecting and pitching to potential clients using the VoIP telephone
– Following up on all Marketing campaigns in a timely manner
– Attending virtual networking events representing the Oi brands
– Keeping the company CRM up to date at all times
– Communicate opportunities you uncover promptly
– Sourcing new opportunities for our clients and making referrals
– Virtually assist with all Oi events (these may be outside of normal 9-5 hours, but you’ll be able to flex your time)
– Analyse & report on sales pipeline and new opportunities
– Effectively work alongside marketing to identify new opportunities
– Occasionally write copy for blogs and the weekly newsletter
– Occasionally source and test new software
– Other reasonable sales and marketing-based activities that will be required on an adhoc basis from time to time
